Job Description: Adolescent Medicine (October 2023)As an Adolescent Medicine Pediatrician at Childrens Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, you will not only help fulfill a large community need, but you will also have the opportunity to teach, mentor, and guide the next generation of pediatricians.The Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Childrens Hospital of Michigan is actively seeking an Adolescent Medicine Specialist for a full-time, employed opportunity. We are seeking a specialist that has experience or a genuine interest in medical education as Childrens Hospital of Michigan is home to one of the largest pediatric residency programs in the nation.Highlights about our opportunity:Full-time, employed opportunityClinical responsibilities include 8 sessions per week (each in a 4-hour block)Inpatient consult service 3 days per week, every 3 weeksAcademic position working with medical students and residentsQuality improvement and research initiatives are availableOpportunities for academic collaboration within the division and with other specialistsShared beeper call; every third weekAbout the Division:The Division of Adolescent Medicine at Childrens Hospital of Michigan specializes in the care of patients from 11 through 21 years old. The division provides comprehensive adolescent health care services including complete school, camp, sports, and routine physical examinations and immunizations. Other services include reproductive health care, eating disorders, and behavioral health management.Candidate Requirements:Board Certification with the American Board of PediatricsFellowship training and Board Eligible/Certified in Adolescent MedicineAcademic experience which may include medical student, resident, or fellow perception; curriculum development; evaluation and skills assessmentMust be eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Michigan
