Manufacturing Technician (Kitchen & Tank Room) Friday-Monday 6:00a-4:30p (4x10) $21 per hour $1000 Retention Bonus - $500 at 2 weeks, $500 at 90 days! Position Overview We are seeking a versatile Production Technician to support operations in both the Kitchen and Tank Room areas. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where precision, safety, and teamwork are critical. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, comfort working around production equipment, and an understanding of GMP-regulated processes. This role works under the direction of the Production Supervisor and plays a key part in ensuring equipment, media, and materials are properly prepared and documented in compliance with regulatory standards. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and sterilize equipment and media solutionsAccurately weigh components using analytical scalesMix solutions according to batch records and SOPsOperate production equipment, including startup, minor adjustments, and in-process quality monitoringOpen and close valves and maneuver large tanks as neededPush and position large tanks and equipment safelyPerform cleaning and sanitization of equipment and production areasComplete documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Wear required PPE and adhere strictly to safety protocolsSupport additional departments as production needs require QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Biology or related science strongly preferred1–3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a regulated (GMP/FDA/USDA) environmentExperience with aseptic processing strongly preferredStrong analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsAbility to accurately follow batch records and technical instructionsWorking knowledge of Good Documentation Practices and Standard Operating ProceduresBasic understanding of quality improvement tools and continuous improvement processesFamiliarity with USDA and/or FDA regulations preferredComfortable using computers for documentation and production trackingStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lift up to 25 pounds intermittently Ideal Background Candidates with experience in food production, commercial kitchens, pharmaceutical manufacturing, animal health manufacturing, or other GMP-regulated environments tend to transition well into this role. Experience weighing ingredients, mixing batches, following strict recipes/processes, and maintaining sanitary conditions is highly transferable.
