About This Role
Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers.
The Regional General Managers role is to guide and inspire the General Managers to deliver exceptional retail teams that promote the Common Citizen movement. This role provides a mix of strategic leadership andhands-onoperational oversight, ensuring each location delivers exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and consistent execution of Common Citizens brand standards. This involves leading by example in serving your fellow advisors; inspiring and admiring your team members; and working with company experts in value streams such as HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Compliance.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Onsite support and guidance for General Managers that fosters a network of retail stores with standardized leadership practices through strategic initiatives.
Provide consistent, constructive feedback that empowers and motivates our team of retail leaders and cultivates an environment of growth and development with teams that deliver the highest level of guest service.
Audit and coach on the activities of the store and team to create efficiency and drive operational excellence.
Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and coaching opportunities.
Develop and manage retail leaders through training and coaching that ensure optimal efficiency of store.
Audit and coach on store condition and visual merchandising standards, as it aligns with Common Citizen brand standards.
Observe leadership behaviors and coach with on-the-spot feedback equipped with clear expectations on implementation.
Ensure consistent execution of retail operations, compliance standards, and SOPs across all five stores.
Monitor key performance metrics including sales, labor, productivity, guest experience, and compliance, and implement corrective action plans as needed.
Conduct regular site visits, operational audits, and performance reviews to ensure excellence across every location.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners (HR, Marketing, Compliance, Supply Chain, and Product) to ensure store support and alignment.
Foster a culture of empowerment, customer-centricity, and employee engagement within all locations.
Support talent acquisition and retention strategies to build high-performing teams across the region.
Own regional P&L performance, withfocuson revenue generation, margin management, and cost control.
Utilize financial and operational data to drive decisions andidentifyopportunities for improvement.
Ensure that every location consistently provides the exceptional Common Citizen guest experience.
Uphold brand identity and ensure store environments reflect company values, product excellence, and hospitality standards.
Address escalated guest concerns or operational issues with professionalism and urgency.
This position requires routine travel across all regional Michigan retail locations, occasional evening/weekend work, and regular collaboration with home office leadership.
This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast-paced and lively work environment.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite- especially MS Excel and Word
Detail-oriented
Ability to work well both alone and with others.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
5+ years of multi-unit leadership experience in retail, hospitality, cannabis, CPG, or related industries.
Proventrack recordof driving operational excellence and strong financial results across multiple locations.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to develop and motivatehigh-performingteams.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving.
Excellent communication, organizational, andrelationship-buildingskills.
Continuous Improvement/Lean Methodology experience preferred, not required.
Cannabis experience preferred, not required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel regularly throughout the designated Michigan region.
Regularly required to stand/walk for entire shift.
Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
