Job detailsJob Title: Operations Clerk IILocation: Columbia SC, 29203Work Schedule: Mon - Fri, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pmPay rate: USD $ 22-25 (according to experience)Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 6-month duration (temp to hire)Summary:The Operations Clerk II supports branch operations by performing data analysis and cleansing, assisting with accounts receivable, and executing both standard and non-routine business processes. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve discrepancies independently are essential. This position requires cross-functional collaboration, effective documentation, and a drive for continuous improvement in data quality and process efficiency.Core Responsibilities:Foster a safe working environment and culture within the organizationCreate orders for quoted jobs or installations using SAP, following various processes for jobs of limited complexity but with unique requirementsCollaborate with internal and external customers, prioritizing their needs and expectationsInvestigate and resolve accounts receivable issues and inquiries with accuracy and a focus on customer satisfactionAnalyze and cleanse data to improve accuracy and qualityResolve customer order issues flagged for purchase order non-compliancePerform non-routine tasks and resolve customer issues as neededResolve issues from third-party processors for customer orders of limited complexityExecute administrative duties to ensure proper documentation, billing accuracy, invoicing, timely payment, and resolution of customer issuesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of relevant work experienceOR Bachelor's degree with demonstrated capability in comparable workKey Skills:Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to independently research and resolve discrepancies while meeting deadlinesStrong organizational skills and ability to understand broader organizational impactEffective intra-departmental and cross-discipline collaboration and communicationExceptional communication skills, both written and verbalProficient user of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)ERP experience required; ability to learn new business tools quicklyFamiliarity with Field Service or CRM applications (e.g., MS Field Service or MS CRM)Understanding of general business conceptsKey Competencies & High-Impact Behaviors:Results-driven performance and commitment to achieving objectivesContinuous professional development and commitment to lifelong learningCollaboration and teamwork to drive better solutionsHigh standards for personal performance and efficiencyAdditional Information:Travel Requirements: Up to 5%Not a safety-sensitive or driving-required position
