The COO will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the student housing assets, with a primary focus on developing and building an operating platform. This includes designing and implementing the necessary systems, software, staffing, and policies to ensure the efficient management of the portfolio. The role also involves overseeing day-to-day property operations, driving financial performance, and maintaining high standards of facilities management to enhance the resident experience in line with the company's brand and investment goals. Candidates for the COO position should have a Bachelor's degree, with an MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred, and at least 15 years' of experience in real estate operations, particularly in student housing, multifamily, or hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large, geographically diverse portfolios, strong financial acumen, and experience in driving NOI growth. Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills are essential, including the ability to engage and report at the C-suite level.
