PLC Developer

PLC Developer Pittsburgh PA Must have: MODICON, with PLC Coder/Programmer, proper LinkedIn Pls do not submit if the LinkedIn is not proper Job Description Summary Under general direction, participates as high level technical expert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software for third party customers. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them. Resolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements from third party customers. Participates in the development of software user manuals. May act as team leader on less complex projects. Assists in training less-experienced software development staff. Note: If the incumbent is responsible for the development of software for internal use, please match to a position in the Application Development sub-family grouping. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC programming, preferably in an industrial automation environment. Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram. Experience with PLC hardware and software platforms, such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider Electric. Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP). Familiarity with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) development and integration. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel occasionally for project assignments or client support.
