Plant Maintenance Supervisor - Dairy Manufacturing

If you are a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.Position Summary:The Plant Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates all maintenance activities within the plant. This position is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Leadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and supervise maintenance techniciansAssign daily tasks, provide training, and conduct performance evaluationsPromote a strong safety culture and accountability within the teamMaintenance OperationsDevelop and implement preventive maintenance programsTroubleshoot and oversee repairs to ensure timely resolutionManage emergency repairs and coordinate with external vendors as neededPlanning & Scheduling* Create and manage maintenance schedules to support production goals* Partner with production and engineering teams to minimize operational disruptionsSafety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and company policiesConduct routine safety audits and inspectionsMaintain accurate maintenance and compliance recordsInventory & Budget ManagementManage spare parts inventory and maintenance suppliesMonitor and control maintenance-related expensesIdentify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safetyContinuous Improvement* Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics* Drive process improvements and implement best practicesCollaboration & Communication* Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and leadership teams* Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partnersQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment2+ years of supervisory experience requiredDairy or food manufacturing experience strongly preferredStrong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and equipmentExperience with maintenance management systems (CMMS)Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsPhysical & Work Requirements:Ability to lift and move heavy objectsComfortable working in a plant environment with noise and varying temperaturesWillingness to work occasional overtime or weekends as neededCrystal Creamery is an Equal Employment opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
