Back Office Medical Assistant FloaterThe Back Office Medical Assistant Floater will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician, managing both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. This role supports clinicians and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating patient populations. The medical assistant floater is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. The position requires floating across various offices to support either in the Medical Assistant role or dedicated laboratory functions.ResponsibilitiesProvide team-based patient care under clinician supervision.Assist in chronic disease management and patient examination.Perform laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.Float between various offices as required to support medical and laboratory functions.Communicate effectively with patients, employees, and the public.Assess emergencies and act accordingly.Essential SkillsMedical Assistant diploma OR Certified MA (CMA) OR 3 years' MA experience.Phlebotomy experience.Knowledge of basic medical terminology.Knowledge of universal precaution procedures in medical safety practices.Ability to communicate effectively and maintain relationships.Ability to assess emergencies and act accordingly.Flexibility to float between locations.Bilingual (English-Spanish) strongly preferred.Must be able to take vitals, with manual vitals preferred.Active BLS certification.Active driver's license.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with TriMed EMR is preferred.Work EnvironmentThis position is 100% onsite, floating between offices located in Midtown, Miami Beach, Brickell, and Coral Gables. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with every other Saturday from 8am to 12pm. Week 1 consists of 42.5 hours, while Week 2 consists of 46.5 hours. The role includes travel between clinics, with compensation for mileage and additional gas cards for travel outside core locations. Training on manual vitals is provided, with an opportunity to secure a permanent position.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Plantation, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30000.00 - $40000.00/yr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
