Inventory Associate

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Associate to join our dynamic supply chain and warehouse operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock control, and supporting efficient warehouse distribution processes. Your expertise will help optimize procurement, streamline logistics, and enhance overall inventory management to meet organizational goals. Duties Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or AS400. Support procurement activities by sourcing materials, analyzing supplier performance, and negotiating contracts to secure optimal pricing and terms. Utilize data mining, visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau, and analytics techniques to identify trends, root causes of inventory issues, and opportunities for process improvement. Assist in demand planning and forecasting by analyzing sales data from Nielsen, e-commerce platforms, and retail management systems to maintain optimal stock levels. Coordinate shipping & receiving operations, including order fulfillment, materials handling, heavy lifting, and logistics management with third-party logistics providers (3PL). Implement inventory control strategies to reduce excess stock or shortages while maintaining compliance with safety standards such as forklift operation certifications. Support category management initiatives by analyzing product performance metrics and contributing to merchandising strategies that maximize profitability. Requirement: Must be fluent in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate across teams and vendors. Experience Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or supply chain analytics within a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with procurement processes including sourcing, contracts negotiation, and supplier management. Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies like root cause analysis and demand planning techniques. Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for actionable insights related to inventory control and logistics. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safety protocols.
