Located near Ventura, this itinerant role focuses predominantly on consultative services with occasional direct braille instruction. Key Qualifications:Current certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)Experience working with children or young adults with visual impairmentsStrong communication and consultative skillsFamiliarity with braille and assistive technology for the visually impairedAbility to travel between school sites as needed Primary Responsibilities:Deliver consultative services to support general education staff in meeting student needsProvide expertise on accommodations, instructional strategies, and adaptive technologyOffer direct instruction in braille and assistive devices to students as requiredAssist with developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student successMaintain accurate documentation of student progress and services rendered This role offers a consistent weekday schedule-6 hours per day in a full-time capacity within supportive school environments.
