Garrett College invites applications for a full-time Faculty in Psychology to join its team in McHenry, Maryland. This 10-month faculty position (Assistant/Associate Professor rank based on qualification and experience) is responsible for the preparation, development, planning, delivery, and assessment of classroom material; the academic advisement of students; and participation in the academic process.Garrett College is searching for an outstanding and enthusiastic individual for a full-time position in Psychology to begin in the fall of 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of psychology courses in the program curricula. In addition, the candidate may be asked to teach relevant college courses at local high schools. The person filling this position is expected to be actively involved in departmental and campus committees and will participate in curriculum development as well as student learning assessment. Faculty at Garrett College carry a 15-credit/semester teaching load. Occasional evening and/or weekend hours may be required.Required Qualifications:Qualified candidates will hold a Master's Degree in Psychology and have a minimum of three (3) years of full-time college teaching experience, community college level preferred. If the candidate holds a Doctorate Degree, a minimum of one (1) year of full-time college teaching experience is required, community college level preferred. Additional industry experience is highly considered. Candidates must have demonstrated experience using instructional technology in the classroom and a dedication to teaching excellence and the mission of a community college.Garrett College is a small, rural two-year college located approximately 180 miles west of Baltimore/Washington D.C. and 120 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. The college is within walking distance of scenic Deep Creek Lake and the Wisp Ski Resort.Salary range is $62,504 - $81,940. An outstanding benefits package is available shortly upon hire.
