CNC Operator / Programmer

Job DetailsOperates CNC equipment and programs laser/plasma machines to produce accurate machined parts. Ensures adherence to engineering specifications, safety standards, and continuous process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC Mill/Lathe equipment to manufacture parts as directed.Program laser/plasma machines using engineering plans and machining parameters.Interpret work orders, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.Set machine zero and reference points and verify initial part accuracy.Use company-supplied gauges properly and report any out-of-tolerance dimensions.Ensure quality management system processes affecting this role are implemented and maintained.Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the department.Perform and document continuous process improvement efforts.Maintain continuity between shifts by documenting issues and communicating status.Follow clean-up, housekeeping, safety, and quality procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.2 years CNC machining experience preferred.1 year of programming experience for laser/plasma cutting required.Ability to read technical drawings and engineering reports.Knowledge of gauge usage, setup, and calibration procedures.Proficient in Microsoft Office and 3D design or programming software.Strong communication and documentation skills.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Basic understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and GD&T.Must be able to lift 40 lbs. repeatedly, stand for long periods on concrete, and perform tasks including bending, squatting, tightening bolts, and pushing materials.
