You will work alongside experienced multidisciplinary clinicians in a highly specialised service focused on improving outcomes for older people living with Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD). Work within a supportive and collaborative clinical leadership team Contribute to innovative models of care across specialised dementia services Engage with District, State and national specialty networks Access ongoing professional development, education and research opportunities Be part of a service committed to person centred, evidence-based careWhat You'll Be DoingIn this senior clinical leadership role, you will provide expert consultancy, education and service development within the Specialist Dementia Care Program and Older People’s Mental Health Service. You will support complex clinical care delivery while driving innovation, quality improvement and workforce capability. Provide expert clinical consultancy and behavioural support strategies for people living with BPSD Lead clinical review processes, service improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary collaboration Support transitions, referrals and stakeholder engagement across the Local Health District Deliver specialised education, mentoring and clinical supervision to nursing and healthcare staff Initiate and apply research, quality improvement and evidence based practice to enhance patient outcomesJoin a team where your expertise will help shape the future of specialised dementia care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people and their families.How To ApplyApply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date.Essential CriteriaQualification: Post-graduate qualification related to the specified area of speciality or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the organisation. Registration: Registered Nurse with current Authority to practice with AHPRA License: NSW Drivers License Selection CriteriaAt least 5 years of full-time post-registration experience, including at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence in nursing practice.Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and sound clinical judgment.Demonstrated skills and experience in delivering education and training, with a sound understanding of evidence-based practice and a commitment to person- and relationship-centred careAdvanced interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and advocacy, particularly when engaging with key internal and external stakeholders.Experience in conducting or contributing to research, clinical audits, and/or clinical practice improvement projects within OPMHS.
