The Roadside Tech plays a crucial role in providing prompt and effective roadside assistance to a diverse fleet of vehicles, including passenger cars, light trucks and vans, and heavy-duty trucks. Operating within a dispatch-supported small service team, this position requires the ability to handle emergency repairs, vehicle diagnostics, and customer communication while adhering to safety standards. With varied shifts including on-call and rotating schedules, the Roadside Tech ensures vehicles are back on the road quickly and safely across local and long-distance routes.ResponsibilitiesPerform vehicle diagnostics to identify issues quicklyConduct emergency roadside repairs including tire changes and jump startsCommunicate effectively with customers to explain services and resolve concernsEnsure full compliance with safety protocols and standardsNavigate routes efficiently using mobile dispatch apps and toolsProvide fuel delivery and lockout assistance as neededUtilize a range of tools such as 2-ton jacks, lockout kits, and standard hand toolsAdapt to various shift patterns including day, night, rotating, and on-call availability Preferred Qualifications1+ years experience in vehicle roadside assistanceVocational training in automotive repairValid Driver's LicenseKnowledge of automotive repair and diagnostic toolsStrong customer service and communication skillsFamiliarity with safety standards and protocolsEffective problem solving and time management abilities
