Position Summary
The Service Room Lead oversees daily operations within the service room, ensuring that all processes related to egg handling, poult processing, sanitation, and workflow coordination are executed efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards. This role is hands-on and people-focused
you will lead by example while guiding and developing a culturally diverse team to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and supervise service room team members
Coordinate daily workflow and staffing to meet production targets
Ensure compliance with animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety protocols
Monitor quality control standards and address issues proactively
Train new employees and provide ongoing performance feedback
Maintain accurate production and compliance records
Foster a respectful, inclusive, and accountable team environment
Collaborate with hatchery leadership to continuously improve processes
What We're Looking For
Proven experience leading and managing teams (production, agriculture, food processing, or manufacturing preferred)
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
Comfortable working with individuals from different cultural backgrounds
Ability to motivate, hold accountability, and build team morale
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends as needed
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
