Summary We’re growing and are looking to hire an additional estimator. A successful candidate will have a machinist background with a strong understanding of cycle times, labor hours, and print reading to accurately quote fixturing and tooling. Estimate costs for shop quotations including labor, material, purchased items, outside processes and delivery dates. Review items with special requirements and risks associated with each item. Maintain detailed records of cost estimates, quotes and related communications for future reference and analysis. Coordinate with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials, tooling and outsourced processes. Calculate labor costs based on machining time, setup time, tooling requirements and other relevant factors. Experience Strong understanding of the manufacturing process. High level of skill in reading mechanical and assembly drawings. 5+ Years or More in the Metal Fabrication/CNC Machining Industry. Proficient in Windows and Office (Word, excel and PowerPoint). Excellent attention to detail in accuracy of documentation.
