With only 16 beds, the Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Bemidji offers an array of services in a community-based setting. Our mental health treatment and programming utilize a person-centered framework. We routinely involve the patient, their family and multiple community resources in treatment planning and implementation. The interdisciplinary treatment team is robust, and includes a psychiatrist, nurses, a psychologist, social workers, and rehabilitation therapists. This facility belongs to a network of six small behavioral health hospitals located throughout the state, giving you access to consult and collaborate with colleagues. With an average length of stay of 30 days, you’ll help patients to transition their care to a substantial system of outpatient services in the area.In this role, you will function as the primary care practitioner delivering comprehensive care for individuals with acute to chronic and severe mental illness in collaboration with other health care professionals. This role serves as the on-site attending medical clinician and a key member of the treatment team.
