Bilingual Spanish BuyerLHH is seeking an experienced Buyer to support a fast-paced manufacturing and supply-chain operation. This role ensures continuous material availability, strong supplier performance, negotiated cost efficiency, and smooth end-to-end purchasing processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-driven, and capable of managing vendor negotiations, procurement strategies, and cross-functional coordination. This role requires full bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Candidates must be fluent in both languages for daily communication with suppliers, internal teams, and cross-border stakeholders. Location: 416 Grand Central Blvd, Laredo, TX 78046 Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM (longer hours/overtime may be required) Compensation: $39.00 per hour (W2) Day-to-Day & Responsibilities 1. Review and validate for accuracy documentation from the Shipping area. Report any discrepancy to the Shipping leader. 2. Log complementary data into the Mexican Custom Broker system to initiate the issuing of the "pedimento proforma". 3. Confirm shipment specifications, verifying any special requirements (as per the Mexican Laws & regulations) and post the correspondent information into the System (e.g. trato preferencial; cumplimiento normas NOM; identificadores especiales; permisos de Secretarias; Certificados especiales; etc). 4. Maintain data in "Pedimento proforma" and release to the Mexican Custom Broker Representative for proper validation and duty payments. 5. Confirm and support the process of obtaining any special Import Permits to ensure an expedited Import process. Retain updated permits for recordkeeping. 6. Compile information to input into the Custom Broker system, to obtain the legal form of the Mexican Pediment. Validate the data listed on form. 7. Coordinate with Logtec and carriers the process to physically transfer every shipment from USA into Mexico accomplishing with the DOT and US Customs & Border Protection Office regulations. 8. Complete import/export documentation to obtain any special permit with US Custom & Border Protection office. Avoid any delay to disrupt the crossing process. 9. Comply with the legal crossing regulations along the US-Mexican border and solve any requirement from any officer. 10. Prepare and send the Electronic Export Information required by the US Census Department. Obtain the correspondent ITN or EEI number to confirm this process was successfully completed. 11. Prepare and document properly the Bonded merchandise (In Bond shipments). Assure the US Custom & Border Protection office is informed in a timely way. 12. Maintain all documentation and records for any imported shipment. 13. Review, prepare and rectify any regularization of Mexican Pediment as a result of Customer's requirement or shipping discrepancies (rectifications of debits or credits because differences in prices, quantities received by the customers). 14. Review, document and process any shipment required by our customers (Direct Operations). This process considers all the steps mentioned in the above paragraphs. 15. Support and back up the Duty Classifier duties when needed (backup position). 16. Insure appropriate correct Custom procedures are applied to return shipments from USA to Mexico and avoid the unjustified payment of duties. 17. Document safety coding for the transport of materials/products (HAZ-MAT.) that cross the border according to the rules and laws established for their transport. 18. Appropriate participation and responsibility with the development of the Quality System Issues (ISO 9001). 19. Promote, participate and set examples on the improvement process for department employees. Standard Qualifications Bilingual Spanish/English REQUIRED 35+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience Strong negotiation skills and supplier-management experience Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and improve processes Experience managing PO cycles, vendor communication, and material flow Familiarity with RFQs, cost analysis, and supplier performance metrics Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and follow-through Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills Proficiency in standard business systems (ERP/MRP) Pay Details: $35.00 to $39.00 per hour Search managed by: Jason Timothy Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
