Join a team that values innovation, collaboration, and delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to our clients.Position SummaryThe Project Engineer / Sales Engineer plays a vital role in the successful delivery of technology projects, managing them from initial planning through implementation and support. This position requires expertise in network design, server and workstation builds, access control systems, and other technical solutions. The Project Engineer / Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and CoordinationDefine project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with client needsDevelop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocationCoordinate with engineering, sales, and operations teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.Technical ExecutionDesign and implement network architectures, surveillance systems, A/V solutions, access control systems, and other IT infrastructuresConfigure and deploy servers, workstations, and wireless solutionsOversee the integration of custom technical solutions, ensuring functionality and scalability.Client CollaborationAct as the primary technical liaison for clients throughout the project lifecycleProvide regular project updates, addressing technical concerns and managing expectationsConduct training and handovers for client teams as requiredQuality AssuranceEnsure all deliverables meet Forward Slash Technology’s quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and security protocolsConduct thorough testing and validation of all systems before deploymentReporting and DocumentationMaintain detailed project documentation, including configurations, test results, and system diagramsPrepare and present final project reports for internal and client review.Qualifications And SkillsEducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience3+ years of experience in project engineering within the IT/technology sectorHands-on experience with network design, server builds, access control, and surveillance systemsTechnical SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office 365/Azure, Windows Server, and related platformsKnowledge of network security protocols, database administration (e.g., IBM DB2), and wireless solutionsFamiliarity with access control systems, A/V setups, and custom integrationsSoft SkillsStrong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilitiesExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.CertificationsRelevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) are a plusWhy Join Forward Slash Technology?Be part of a growing company that values innovation and client satisfactionCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for ongoing professional development and certificationsCollaborative work environment with a focus on work-life balanceMandatory RequirementsTo maintain employment with Forward Slash Technology, all employees must meet the following requirements:Pass a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) and federal fingerprint-based background checkSuccessfully complete Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) training and certificationBe a U.S. citizen residing in the St Louis Metropolitan areaHold a valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving recordPass random drug tests as requiredWork Location: In person in our Des Peres, MO office
