Senior Staff Accountant [210393]

Our beauty client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support corporate accounting operations across multiple business units. This role will play a key part in month-end close activities, journal entry management, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis while partnering cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment and is comfortable managing complex accounting processes independently.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, roll forwards, and supporting analysis required for monthly close activitiesAssist with month-end close processes for assigned accounting areasPerform general ledger account analysis and variance researchPrepare and distribute month-end reporting and financial analysisSupport consolidated reporting processes and prepare related reporting packagesInput and maintain financial data within SAP or similar ERP systemsPartner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting or compliance-related issuesManage intercompany account reconciliation activities and support GRIR aging/remediation processesSupport internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation and responding to inquiriesPrepare regulatory reporting in accordance with established deadlinesParticipate in process improvement initiatives and special projects to enhance operational efficiency and controlsEnsure adherence to financial and operational control standardsQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting required5+ years of corporate accounting experience within a fast-paced accounting environmentAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredExperience with Power BIStrong analytical, problem-solving, and variance analysis skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of financial and operational controlsAbility to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic environmentResourceful mindset with the ability to resolve complex accounting issues through completionPreferred QualificationsExperience with SAP or similar ERP systemsIFRS experience preferredAuditing experience preferredConsumer products or beauty industry experience preferredCPA certification preferredIdeal CandidateHighly organized and detail-oriented with strong financial acumenComfortable working cross-functionally in a collaborative environmentStrong communicator who can confidently partner with stakeholders at various levelsAdaptable and able to pivot quickly in a fast-moving business environmentHands-on team player with a proactive approach to process improvement About Aquent TalentAquent Talent connects the best talent in marketing, creative, and design with the world’s biggest brands.Our eligible talent get access to amazing benefits like subsidized health, vision, and dental plans, paid sick leave, and retirement plans with a match.
