Job Description:AboutWalbecGroupWalbecproduces high-quality construction materials and delivers unparalleled professionaldesign,engineeringand construction services atits six companies, including Payne and Dolan, Northeast Asphalt, Zenith Tech, Parisi, Premier Concrete, and Construction Resources Management.Whether building bridges, stabilizing shorelines, rehabilitating structures, or providing site engineering and construction solutions for solar,Walbecis yourbridge toexpertisein construction and engineering.With safety and ethics at the core of everything we do, our experienced professionals are hard at work on commercial and industrial sites throughout the Midwest.The Position:Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Construction Surveyor will be responsible for providing support in the field to Project Managers and the Grading Division by preparing and providing surveying and mapping of the job site for horizontal and vertical construction layouts.Prepare drawings depicting existing & proposed areas, elevations, etc. (parking lots, main line roadways, etc.).Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of jobsites.Calculate heights, depths relative positions, and other characteristics of jobsites.Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other measurements.Assist in other projects and duties as assigned.Requirements:Basic math skills including percentages and volumes.Ability to work in construction jobsite conditions (fast paced environment).Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record (vehicle provided).Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Organized with strong follow-up skills.Strong analytical skills, detailed-orientated, self-motivated, and team-orientated.Willing and able to travel to jobsites in the Southeastern Wisconsin area working flexible hours that may include nights and weekends.Preferred Skills:Experience in surveying software, AutoCad,Civil 3D or Carlson Survey.Basic survey skills and knowledge of the correct and safe usage of surveying equipment.Experience reading blueprints and understanding construction plans to ensure proper drainage of sites.The Benefits:Competitive compensation aligned with industry standardsEmployer PaidMedicalPlan with HRA contribution (eligibility requirements)Dental, Vision, andLifeInsuranceFlex Spending Account (FSA)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Company-paidshort and long-term disability coveragePaid parental leaveGenerous PTO and paid holidaysProfit sharingRobustWalbectraining and professional development programOngoing career growth opportunitiesWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action employer, and it is our practice toprovideequal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants.
