Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our construction project finances. In this pivotal role, you will oversee budgeting, cost management, financial reporting, and compliance across complex infrastructure projects. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and regulatory standards will drive accurate financial planning and support successful project delivery. Duties Manage and oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and Civil 3D to track project costs, schedules, and resource allocation. Coordinate with project managers and teams to develop accurate project schedules using Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools. Ensure compliance with construction regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations by reviewing plans, contracts, and regulatory documents. Lead project cost estimation efforts by leveraging construction estimating techniques and managing project budgets from inception to completion. Supervise finance teams responsible for tracking expenses, processing invoices, and managing financial documentation. Collaborate on blueprint reading and review construction plans to align financial strategies with project scope and specifications. Monitor project progress through detailed schedule coordination and project management software updates to ensure timely delivery within budget. Provide leadership in managing complex infrastructure projects by overseeing project coordination, schedule adherence, and resource management. Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions, project documentation, contracts, and regulatory compliance reports. Skills Extensive experience with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 (Primavera), Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and other industry-standard tools. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, project scheduling (especially Primavera P6), cost management, and budget control. Proven ability to manage teams in a construction management role with excellent leadership skills. Deep understanding of construction regulations, safety standards, permits, and compliance requirements. Skilled in blueprint reading, contract review, and interpreting construction plans for accurate financial planning. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation purposes. Hands-on construction site experience coupled with strong project coordination capabilities. Expertise in managing complex infrastructure or commercial construction projects from start to finish. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
