Lower Elementary Teacher (Grades 1-3)

Join New Leaf Prep Academy, a Montessori Nature Based Charter School! We are growing for the 2026-2027 School year and looking for a passionate educator to join our team! Elementary teachers are responsible for teaching a 3-year age multi-age cycle of students (1st-3rd grade) with an 18 student ratio. Teachers will be equipped with traditional Montessori materials, Montessori Curriculum, academic and Montessori coaching, and Progress Report Software to aid them within the classroom and ensure material is meeting all state teaching standards. Hours for this role are 7:30am-4:00pm, starting for the 26-27 school year, August 17th, 2026. Teachers will be required to help guide students on their educational journey in, but not limited to, the following ways: Lesson planning Implementing curriculum in a meaningful way Providing small group & one on one instruction Implementing Montessori lessons: impressionistic & abstract Communicating with parents Collaborating and leveraging peer educators Meeting with students Completing Progress reporting through frequent observations Providing timely feedback to students Adapting teaching methods and learning paths for each student Fostering a love of learning Leading Labs, Socratic Seminars & Project based learning Maintaining a clean and purposeful environment Supporting students in a kind and respectful way Leading Parent/teacher conferences Assisting Students to develop & structure student-led conferences Maintaining a safe and collaborative studio atmosphere Acting as a good role model Teaching core academic subjects and general electives such as gardening, keyboarding, and cursive Teachers will be responsible for ensuring that all students are being challenged individually in a way that is meaningful to each student.
