Furnace Operator - All Experience Levels - Night Shift (3 to 4 Day Work Week!)

You can be one of the few as a Furnace Operator at Solar Atmospheres in Souderton, PA!Our Furnace Operators carry out vacuum heat treating and brazing services to some of the most notable companies out there. With extensive training (typically 6+ months), you'll learn the ropes from our tenured co-workers to provide services of the highest possible quality. Whether you have experience or not, with the right attitude, attention to detail, and some basic math skills, all duties can be trained with room for growth.Since we are a 24/7 operation to meet our customers' needs, we are looking to add a team member to the following shifts:3rd Shift: 10:00pm8:30am, TuesdayFriday (4 day work week!)Night Swing Shift: 6:00pm6:30am, rotating schedule (3 to 4 day work week!)Week 1: Monday, Thursday, and FridayWeek 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturdays and SundayWhat you'll doYou probably don't like being micromanaged which is good because we don't like to micromanage. As a Furnace Operator, you'll work independently, owning your projects from start to finish. Projects vary in length so you'll juggle a few projects at once, switching between tasks throughout the day. It's never a dull moment- from tracking the furnace's performance one moment to packing in or out a project the next. While every day might be a little different, you can expect to do the following:Planning and changing out furnace loads and packing all ordersOperating furnaces and other shop equipmentMaintaining clean and orderly work areas (we pride ourselves on safety and cleanliness)Follow project instructions and complete all customer labeling and packaging requirementsConfigure and monitor settings on programs, recorders, and vacuum gaugesWork efficiently while ensuring company quality standards are maintainedUtilize a forklift and overhead crane as neededWhat you need to thrive in this roleHigh School Diploma or GED requiredBasic math skills will serve you very wellReliable and organized with the ability to multitask and prioritizeComfortability working in a fast-paced environment moving around consistently throughout the dayAbility to lift, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods of timeExperience in manufacturing, warehouse, or heat treatment is a plus but willing to train!Forklift and Overhead Crane experience/licensure a plusAbout usThe mission of Solar Atmospheres is to add significant value to our customer's operations by thermally treating parts, principally in a vacuum environment, with an unwavering commitment to honesty in all relationships.
