Temporary Development Assistant/Lab Tech I

Development Technicians I-II Temporary; Full-time for 1 year ALK Source Materials, Inc., a leading manufacturer of quality allergenic biological source materials, and a member of the global ALK group of companies, is recruiting for a Temporary Development Technician position. This position is a full-time, one-year assignment and benefits eligible position. The Development Technician conducts and documents experiments to optimize production processes for biological source materials. A key role of this position is assisting in the execution of study plans for cultivation and separation of house dust mites and maintaining HDM cultures. Other responsibilities include recording, compiling, reviewing, and verifying data, and maintaining logbooks and other documentation. The Development Technician may perform analytical work, when necessary, but this position is not focused on performing laboratory analysis. Attention to detail and good communication skills, both oral and written, are key competencies for this position. Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience is highly preferred. Candidates should have a good understanding of GMP documentation. Problem solving skills, creativity and a good understanding of science and math are highly desirable. All positions at ASM require the ability to work in a regulated manufacturing facility and around deceased stinging insects, allergenic antigens, hazardous chemicals, solvents, and laboratory reagents.
