This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about finance, human resources, and administrative excellence to support our mission of operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.DutiesProcess payroll using systems such as Workday, ADP, Ceridian, or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments.Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, including deductions, benefits administration, and tax filings.Reconcile payroll accounts with general ledger entries through account reconciliation procedures.Manage data entry tasks related to employee hours, wages, bonuses, and other compensation components.Assist with benefits administration by updating employee records and processing related transactions.Prepare journal entries for payroll expenses and ensure proper posting within accounting software like QuickBooks or PeopleSoft.Support compliance efforts by preparing reports for governmental agencies and handling tax-related documentation.Collaborate with human resources to verify employee information and resolve payroll discrepancies.Perform regular audits of payroll data to identify errors or inconsistencies and implement corrective measures.Contribute to month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts payable and receivable related to payroll costs.Assist with non-profit accounting processes when applicable, ensuring adherence to specific financial standards.RequirementsProven experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role within corporate accounting or non-profit organizations.Proficiency with payroll management software such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, or UltiPro; familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks is highly desirable.Strong understanding of payroll management principles combined with knowledge of tax regulations and benefits administration.Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) platforms for employee data management.Solid knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation.Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing is preferred.Ability to analyze financial data effectively and perform account reconciliation tasks efficiently.Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
