Construction Project Engineer
We are currently looking for a Construction Project Engineer to assist with various initiatives throughout the Amarillo and Claude, Texas region. Acting as the central point of contact, this individual will bridge the gap between field teams, project leadership, clients, and subcontractors. Your daily focus will involve managing project workflows, technical documentation, field-level support, and final project delivery to ensure all objectives are met efficiently.
Core Duties
Analyze blueprints, technical specifications, and BIM files to manage revisions, redlines, and final as-built documentation.
Facilitate the creation and distribution of essential project records such as RFIs, submittals, and change orders while utilizing platforms like Procore, Bluebeam, Dalux, and Smartsheet to keep information organized.
Manage the administrative side of project compliance, including securing necessary permits, bonds, and insurance documentation.
Help drive project efficiency by maintaining detailed trackers for manpower, scheduling, and safety metrics to ensure the team meets its performance goals.
Offer technical guidance and field layout assistance to help resolve onsite challenges, ensuring that production remains on track and schedule delays are minimized.
Oversee the logistics of materials and equipment to ensure the team has the necessary resources to maintain steady progress and avoid procurement bottlenecks.
Support quality assurance by coordinating inspections and commissioning activities, ensuring that all testing records are accurately documented for customer acceptance.
Ensure a seamless project handover by compiling comprehensive closeout packages, including O&M manuals and final inspection records, to satisfy all contractual requirements.
Professional Requirements
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
A background in construction engineering support or project coordination.
Proficiency in interpreting complex construction drawings, specifications, and BIM modeling.
Experience working with industry-standard document control and project management software.
