SummaryArcadis is adding an additional Senior Construction Project Manager to join our US Life Sciences Construction Management Team in Cary, NC. The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for all on site construction activities, with the project manager’s assistance, on projects ranging from $10M-$50M+. The Senior Construction Project Manager will have site staff reporting to them and will need to lead and manage teams. Responsibilities include contractor management, labor management, safety oversite, client management, procurement assistance, and estimating assistance.This role will be in our Cary, NC office, with travel to various project locations in North Carolina.Key ResponsibilitiesComplies with legal requirements, safety and building codesMaintains site records: daily filed reports, RFI’s, observationsWrites and reviews comprehensive scope of workCollaborates with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists on submittalsAssigns, schedules, and coordinates all subcontractor activitiesLeads all construction meetings (owner’s, contractor’s, pull plans, schedules, design reviews)Effectively manages and communicates change and controls costsInterfaces at a high level with clients and possesses strong negotiation skillsManages staff on construction sites and mentors senior superintendentsAbility to travel as needed to off-site locationsAbility to work outside regular business hoursSkills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent and 10+ years in construction.Life Sciences experience a plusRead, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or documentsWrite reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questionsOSHA 30-Hour CertificationExcellent verbal, written and communications skillsManage Superintendents and other trade foremanPlans for additional resources. Integrates changes smoothly. Sets goals and objectives.
