Overview In this Civil Engineer role, you contribute to delivering complex infrastructure projects across drainage, highways, and utilities. You work within the Civil Engineering discipline, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to progress design and delivery for public and private sector clients. You’ll prepare survey specifications, review studies, and help shape redevelopment schemes with regulatory alignment. The role combines technical design with project management and stakeholder liaison, offering growth through increasing responsibility. Compensation / Benefitshybrid working modelcareer development opportunitiesAECOM Universityvolunteering dayswell-being programs ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review survey specifications, including utilities and topographical surveys.Check and coordinate the production of studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for development schemes (drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks, and flood risk).Contribute to the design and delivery of highways, drainage, and associated infrastructure for complex, multidisciplinary developments.Liaise with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure compliance.Contribute to bids and proposals, attend project meetings, and confidently communicate technical solutions. Key requirementsCivil Engineering degree and/or master's degree.Experience in UK development-related infrastructure engineering.Ability to design highways, access roads and infrastructure including road geometry, public realm, earthworks, pavements, drainage and services.Knowledge of relevant standards and guidance.Experience with 3D modelling packages such as Civil 3D.Knowledge of drainage design including piped and SuDS systems; familiarity with storage design and InfoDrainage.Progress toward professional qualification (IEng/CEng) preferred.Strong communication of technical solutionsStakeholder liaison and regulatory coordinationBid support and collaborative teamworkCivil 3DInfoDrainage3D computer modelling
