This role collaborates closely with engineers and project stakeholders to produce high-quality technical documentation. The position plays a critical role in supporting infrastructure design and implementation by delivering precise schematics and layouts. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously.Location & Work TypeLocation: Los Angeles, CAWork Type: OnsiteKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and prepare detailed CAD drawings for low voltage systems based on engineering specifications, project requirements, and design standards.Create, update, and maintain CAD libraries and templates to ensure consistent and accurate documentation.Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and team members to gather requirements and ensure design accuracy.Perform site visits to collect data and verify field conditions for accurate drafting representation.Produce layout drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation details for LAN, WLAN, VoIP, IP Public Address Systems, IP Camera Systems, and Intrusion Detection Systems.Review and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders.Ensure all drawings comply with applicable industry standards, codes, and regulations.Maintain organized records of drawings and related technical documentation.Provide technical support and guidance on CAD-related tasks to team members.QualificationsRequired:At least 4+ years of experience is required for this roleProficiency in AutoCAD software.Strong understanding of low voltage systems including LANs, WLANs, VoIP systems, IP Public Address Systems, IP Camera Systems, and Intrusion Detection Systems.Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to low voltage systems (e.g., NEC, TIA/EIA, BICSI).Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and drawings.Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working on a computer.Ability to conduct site visits, which may require walking, standing or climbing.A California Driver's license, use of a car and be able to carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Must be Autodesk CertifiedMust have Associates Degree or higher in Drafting, Engineering or related.Preferred (Optional):Experience working on multiple concurrent infrastructure or construction-related projects.Knowledge of advanced CAD tools, plugins, or automation techniques.BenefitsMedical coverage and Health Savings Account (HSA) through AnthemDental/Vision/Various Ancillary coverages through Unum401(k) retirement savings planPaid-time-off optionsCompany-paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Discount programs through ADP WorkforceNowAdditional DetailsThe base range for this contract position is $40 - $45 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
