Full Time Pharmacy Technician

We are looking for a dependable Full Time Pharmacy Technician STERILE COMPOUNDING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Monday - Friday 40 hours a week 9:00 AM - 6:00 or CLOSE (set shift) You will undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers. Responsibilities Prepares parenteral products under the direction of a registered pharmacist, utilizing aseptic technique adhering to USP 797 guidelines in accordance with policy. Assists the pharmacist with the dispensing of items ordered by a physician pursuant to a valid prescription. Checks and maintains inventory levels; places inventory orders, logs in new inventories. Check for expired/unusable products and disposes of them properly. Documents all activities appropriately. Answers and initiates communications related to providing pharmaceutical care. Prepares delivery tickets. Assists the patient delivery representative in orders, receiving, maintaining, and tracking all infusion related equipment. Fulfills the duties of the patient delivery representative when required. Maximizes the efficiency and productivity of the pharmacy and delivery operations. Strives to achieve cost effectiveness in all areas (including purchasing, inventory control, staffing delivery services). Available to work "on call" as needed. Performs other duties, special tasks/projects as required. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs Ability to work standing for long periods of time Ability to perform cleaning duties as assigned and required by USP 797. Skills Current TSBP pharmacy technician license in good stand required ACPE IV certification required Continuing education necessary to maintain current licensure in all states licensed. Minimum one year experience as pharmacy technician with training/experience in alternate site/home health pharmacy practice and the preparation of sterile products.
