Medical Assistant

Medical AssistantWe are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure a high-quality patient experience by welcoming patients and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The role requires adherence to infection control policy and procedures, as well as preparation and documentation of patient intake and clinical support.Responsibilities:Welcome patients and ensure a high-quality patient experience.Maintain office and exam room cleanliness and ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available for patient care.Perform and document patient intake vitals including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate, and notify the clinician of any abnormal findings.Interview patients based on age appropriateness and/or specialty needs with accurate documentation and update medical records.Obtain necessary medical records, consultation notes, and diagnostic results for clinician review and treatment follow-up.Prepare patients for clinician examination and ensure clinician orders are performed and accurately documented.Assist clinicians in performing age-appropriate screenings and procedures such as vision, hearing, electrocardiograms, suture removal, and wound care.Essential Skills:Proficiency in medical assisting and phlebotomy.Strong customer service skills.Registration as a Medical Assistant (RMA) or certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).Competence in taking vitals and performing blood draws.Confidence in executing medical assisting duties.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience in specialty procedures and emergency response under clinician supervision.Work Environment:The role operates on a rotating schedule. Week 1: Monday (10am-7pm), Tuesday (8am-12pm), Wednesday (8am-12pm), Thursday (OFF), Friday (8am-5pm), Saturday (7:30am-12pm). Week 2: Monday (10am-7pm), Tuesday (8am-12pm), Wednesday (8am-12pm), Thursday (8am-12pm), Friday (8am-5pm), Saturday (OFF).Job Type & Location:This is a Permanent position based out of Lakeland, FL.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $43000.00/yr.
