Job Description SummaryThe Speech-Language Pathologist will provide specialized evaluation and treatment for patients with voice and swallowing disorders in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive voice assessments, delivering evidence-based therapy, and performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) to assess swallowing function. Takes an active role in developing and implementing treatment plans, documentation, and collaboration.Job Tasks:* Assessment:oConducts comprehensive evaluations of speech and language skills using a variety of diagnostic materials and tools.oDevelops and adjusts treatment plans based on detailed assessment results.* Treatment:oIndependently implements and modifies treatment plans.oUtilizes advanced intervention approaches, strategies, and materials.oEstablishes and prioritizes treatment goals, providing advising and education to patients and families.* Documentation:oMaintains accurate and timely documentation of assessments and progress.oEnsures compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.* Collaboration:oEffectively collaborates with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers.Directs and mentors support staff in assisting with treatment.Postgraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an ASHA accredited program.Work Experience: >1 yearCurrent SC state licensure required.ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA)Additional Job DescriptionEducation: Postgraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an ASHA accredited program. Work Experience: At least 1 year. Certification/Licensure: Current SC state licensure required. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
