ElectroMechanical Technician

Areas of Responsibility: Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment Verify dimensions of parts, using precision measuring instruments, to ensure that specifications are met Perform preventative maintenance and repair on a wide range of pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical cabinet components etc. Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and robotic systems Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments Install electronic parts and hardware, load setpoints, programs as needed and use test equipment to verify operation. Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns using proven methods. Utilizing OEM manuals, prints, SOP’s, Literature from Internet searches and co-workers. Food Safety Responsibilites: Perform duties in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures Qualifications: Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics and other systems. Ability to read and understand blueprints and manuals. Demonstrate experience as a maintenance technician. Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds. Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods. Experienced in operating a variety of equipment Working knowledge of hand tools, test equipment. Excellent manual dexterity Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills The ability to keep yourself busy when scheduled work is complete, there’s always something we need to do. The ability to work from heights, scissor lifts, boom lifts and ladders. Education & Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment experience in a manufacturing environment Technical certifications and/or AS in Electronics, preferred Experience Required 3+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment experience in a manufacturing environment
