Civil Litigation Paralegal

Job Description A well-established litigation practice is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex personal injury defense matters. This position plays an important role in keeping cases organized and moving forward efficiently while providing high-quality support to attorneys and exceptional service to clients.The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while assisting attorneys through all phases of litigation.Key Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day litigation support to attorneys throughout the life cycle of a caseDraft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, affidavits, correspondence, and trial materials for attorney reviewSummarize deposition transcripts and assist with case preparation for mediations, hearings, and trialManage and maintain case files, ensuring documents are properly organized and accessibleCoordinate scheduling for depositions, hearings, mediations, meetings, and trial dates across multiple calendarsHandle electronic court filings and maintain familiarity with court procedures and deadlinesCommunicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendorsAssist with factual investigations and organize supporting documentation for case analysisSupport trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating logistics for hearings and trialTrack and enter billable time and assist with case-related billing when neededMaintain organized document management systems and follow established file retention proceduresWork closely with attorneys and team members to ensure cases are progressing efficientlyQualifications:Paralegal certificate requiredBachelor’s degree preferred but not required4+ years of litigation paralegal experience within a Texas law firm , preferably in personal injury defenseExperience assisting with all stages of litigation, including discovery and trial preparationWorking knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil ProcedureExperience with state and federal e-filing proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and AdobeExperience with case management and document management systems such as iManage is a plusTyping speed of 65 WPM or higherStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to maintain strict confidentialitySpanish bilingual skills are a plus but not requiredThis is a great opportunity for an experienced litigation paralegal looking to join a collaborative team and play a key role in supporting complex litigation matters.Solid Rock is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
