Autonomous Vehicle Testing and Integration Specialist

ALA Engineering (Part of AGEO Autonomy) is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Testing and Integration Specialist to support the build, integration, testing, and validation of autonomous vehicle systems. This role is responsible for assisting with vehicle setup, component installation, troubleshooting, system checks, field testing, and documentation. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment involving advanced vehicle technology.The Autonomous Vehicle Testing and Integration Specialist will work closely with engineering, fabrication, electrical, and software teams to help ensure autonomous vehicles are assembled, tested, and operating as intended.Work Environment:This position is based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and may require working in shop, yard, and outdoor environments( customer or test sites) in varying weather conditions. The role may involve standing for long periods, climbing on and off equipment, lifting parts and tools, and working around moving vehicles and heavy machinery.Key Responsibilities:Assist with integration of autonomous vehicle systems, components, sensors, wiring, and related hardwareSupport testing, troubleshooting, and validation of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and control systemsPerform inspections, functional checks, and test procedures on vehicles and subsystemsDocument test results, issues, failures, repairs, and system performanceAssist with diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software-related issuesSupport commissioning, setup, and field testing of autonomous vehiclesOperate vehicles and equipment in a safe and controlled mannerFollow all company safety procedures, testing protocols, and work instructionsWork closely with cross-functional teams to support development and continuous improvement effortsMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized and safe conditionTravel as needed to support testing, deployment, and service activitiesRequirementsMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredValid driver's license with a clean driving recordClean background checkAbility to work 10-hour days, overtime, weekends, and holidays as requiredStrong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting abilityAbility to follow written procedures, test instructions, and safety requirementsAbility to lift, move, and work around heavy vehicle components and equipmentPreferred Qualifications:2-year technical degree preferredExperience working with vehicles, heavy equipment, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, or automation systemsFamiliarity with testing, diagnostics, and integration of mechanical or electrical componentsExperience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instrumentsBasic computer skills for documentation, reporting, and communicationDesired Skills and Attributes:Strong attention to detailGood communication and teamwork skillsSelf-motivated and dependableAbility to adapt in a fast-changing technical environmentCommitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvementBenefitsBenefits Include:Major medicalDentalVision401(k)
