Commercial Service Plumber
Commercial Service Plumber The incumbent lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and maintains plumbing systems and related equipment for assigned projects. Base hourly rate of $28/hr - $37/hr. Key tasks & responsibilities include facilitating positive interactions with customers, assembling pipe sections, filling pipes or plumbing fixtures with water, reviewing blueprints, measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipe, cutting openings in structures, hanging steel supports, repairing plumbing, installing underground piping systems, inspecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing plumbing systems, and facilitating knowledge transfer and teaching trade skills. Conduct standards include maintaining company confidentiality, protecting company assets, promoting safety culture, and exemplifying core values. Work environment entails field operations with exposure to weather, harmful materials, fumes, noise, machinery, and other construction site conditions. Physical demands include standing, reaching, working with body bent at waist, working with arms extended, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Travel may be required between jobs periodically. Minimum qualifications include high school or equivalent, 5+ years of plumbing experience, drawing literacy, basic computer proficiency, knowledge of tools, ability to work from blueprints, general knowledge of trade hazards, willingness to work nights and overtime, leadership skills, fluency in English, valid driver's license, and compliant driving record. Preferred qualifications include rigging and signaling certification, forklift certification, aerial and scissor lift certification, OSHA 30-hour training, first aid/CPR certification, and backflow certification.
