Part time Tour Guide

Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sharing information about our local attractions and history while providing an engaging experience for visitors. As a Tour Guide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visitor experience through effective communication and storytelling. The tours are 2 hrs long. Plus tips Duties Conduct guided tours of various attractions, providing insightful commentary and engaging narratives. Educate visitors about the historical, cultural, and social significance of the sites being visited. Ensure the safety and comfort of all tour participants throughout the duration of the tour. Manage time effectively to adhere to scheduled tour itineraries while allowing for questions and interactions. Provide excellent customer service by addressing visitor inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Utilize public speaking skills to maintain audience engagement and interest during tours. Collaborate with team members to enhance tour offerings and improve visitor experiences. Maintain knowledge of current events, local attractions, and any changes in tour routes or policies. Experience Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred, particularly in hospitality or tourism. Strong public speaking skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to a wider audience. Proven leadership skills to guide groups confidently and manage various dynamics during tours. Excellent time management skills to ensure tours run smoothly and on schedule.
