Outside Sales Representative – Lumber & Truss SalesA growing manufacturer in the building materials industry is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to develop and manage business within the Dallas–Fort Worth market, with a strong focus on prospects located within roughly a 50-mile radius east of Dallas.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a field sales environment, enjoys building relationships with contractors and builders, and is motivated by developing new business while supporting existing accounts. Experience selling lumber, roof trusses, or floor trusses is highly preferred.The Outside Sales Representative will be supported by an Inside Sales Coordinator to assist with estimating, quotes, and account support.ResponsibilitiesPresent and sell building material products and services to new and existing customersProspect and generate new residential, commercial, and multifamily business opportunitiesConduct field-based cold calls to develop new accountsMaintain and grow relationships with contractors, builders, and developersAchieve agreed upon sales targets within established timelinesResolve customer inquiries and provide solutions when neededSchedule follow-up meetings to keep customers informed on products and updatesPerform building material take-offs as neededTravel regularly within the territory to meet with current and prospective clientsCoordinate with an Inside Sales Coordinator for quotes, estimates, and account updatesWork closely with the design and estimating team to ensure accurate designs and delivery timelinesQualificationsBackground in sales, business, marketing, or a related field preferredExperience selling lumber, roof trusses, floor trusses, or other building materials strongly preferredStrong presentation, negotiation, and closing skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet or exceed goalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build long-term relationships with customersStrong organizational skills and attention to detailCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary plus commission structureVehicle allowanceGas allowanceMobile phone providedComprehensive benefits packageStrong opportunity for career growth and advancement100K OTEIf you're a motivated sales professional looking to grow your career in the construction and building materials industry, we encourage you to apply.
