Quality Inspector

Job Title-Quality InspectorWork Schedule-Full-time, day shift (typically 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday). Overtime may be required based on project needs.Job DescriptionPosition SummaryClient is seeking a detail-driven Quality Inspector to support our fabrication, assembly, and systems integration operations. In this role, you’ll perform in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet specifications, drawings, and quality standards. The right candidate is organized, precise, and confident working on the production floor with a wide range of teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform dimensional and visual inspections on fabricated parts, weldments, subassemblies, and finished equipment.Verify conformance to drawings, tolerances, and internal standards using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other tools.Document inspection results clearly and accurately using checklists, inspection reports, and nonconformance records.Communicate findings and support timely resolution of quality issues with fabrication, assembly, and engineering teams.Assist with receiving inspections, material verification, and traceability checks when needed.Support the company’s NCR, rework, and continuous improvement processes.Contribute to a clean, organized, and safety-focused inspection area.Qualifications2+ years of experience in quality inspection or dimensional inspection in a manufacturing environment.Strong familiarity with mechanical drawings and tolerancing (GD&T exposure preferred).Proficient in using hand tools and inspection instruments.Comfortable working on the shop floor and inspecting large weldments and assemblies.Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications a plus.Preferred TraitsSharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Good communicator—able to work well with welders, machinists, assemblers, and engineers.Self-starter who takes pride in accuracy and accountability.Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems is a plus.
