See attached contract.Starting WageNLPSSC ContractTotal Work Days184 (Including Paid Holidays)Hours6.75 Hours Per DaySick/Personal Days10/3 DaysPaid Holidays9 DaysCondolence Leave3-5 DaysDisabilityYesIMRFDistrict pays the full employer contribution/Employee pays employee contributionMedicalNLPSSC ContractLife Insurance$50,000Yearly Increase-July 1NLPSSC ContractSummary:Support students in need of RtI support in the areas of reading and mathQualifications:Hold a Paraprofessional LicensePresent evidence of physical exam to determine "fit for duty", evidence of being free from communicable disease (TB), and submit to criminal background checkParticipation in de-escalation technique training and any additional training as required by the districtAbility to understand, apply, and use computers and software applicationsAbility to communicate effectively in written or verbal formsAbility to travel between schools, or between schools and district officeAbility to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Work with students in need of RtI support by following lesson plans outlined by the classroom teacher or principalMaintain a consistent schedule and complete all tasks assignedCommunicate student progress with the classroom teacherAttend meetings as neededAssists students in all aspects of classroom instruction to maximize learning, achievement, and inclusion.Assists and guides students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, and other skills.Works with students individually, in small groups, or whole groups to reinforce and re-teach learning.Assists professional staff in the administration of assessments and data collection.Assists with record-keeping procedures.Assists with classroom management to minimize disruptions, ensure a safe and orderly classroom, and ensure students are on task.Assists all students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch program, bus duty, playground duty, hallway supervision, study hall, and other related non-instructional areas, as assigned.Prepares education materials as needed.Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees, and others.Substitute for paraprofessionals or, when certified, for teachers, ensuring continuity of instruction and student support.Perform any other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the school.Physical Demands:Regularly required to bend, reach with hands and arms, sit on a chair, sit on the ground with students, kneel, crouch, stand, crawl, walk, and navigate stairs.Be capable of physically assisting students as required (positioning, lifting, transferring, etc.)Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusAbility to verbally communicate and the ability to hear effectivelyOccasionally lift and/or move up to 30 poundsAttachment(s):NLPSSC_AGREEMENT_2024-2027 with Extension.pdf
