APM (Assistant Project Manager)Job SummaryThe Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager by maintaining document control, database information, tracking project activities within project timelines, developing/managing schedules and facilitating team communication.Salary: $65,000 to $80,000 a yearResponsibilitiesGather all project information: schedules, data requests, assignments, and project meetingsDistribute all short interval and overall project schedules to project teamMonitor and evaluate project progress to create forecasts and status reports for clientsModify project schedules based on variable constraints such as: customer need dates, priorities, resource availability, etc.Coordinate and follow up with customers and subcontractors about specific projects and their statusCreate and modify various documents using Microsoft Office and SharePointCommunicate with Clients about any other issues that must be addressed with related information, and immediate corrective/preventative action plans as necessaryReview drawings and specifications to become familiar with project scope and identify long lead times and critical path itemsHelp problem solve issues and suggest ways to improve the projectSchedule and attend weekly project meetings as requested by PM and keep detailed meeting minutes for publishing to project teamReview documentation to become familiar with various work management programsGenerate accruals for clients based on services rendered and other expenses in coordination with the Project ManagerOther duties as assigned.Preferred Job Qualifications2-3 year project management experience or project coordinating experienceIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Proficient or familiar with Primavera, P6, Power BI a plusStrong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasksUtility experience preferredMust have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and deadline driven environmentMust always be able to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitudeCollaborative working style and team-player attitudeAble to work independently with little supervisionAdditional RequirementsMust be willing to comply with all pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification, education and employment verification, and background screeningMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S.Possess a valid Driver's License if requiredHybrid Work Schedule 3 days in office and 2 days from homeWhy Choose KDM EngineeringEstablished in 2012 on a promise to alter the face of engineering, KDM Engineering has built a reputation of excellence in providing outstanding technical services, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality assurance, and offering a truly inclusive work environment.Our clients and partners in the public and private sectors consistently recognize KDM for our responsiveness to their needs, budgets, and schedules.
