Forklift Operator Sit DownWe are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Sit Down Forklift Operator to join our team in East Dundee, IL. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a consistent 1st shift schedule and competitive pay. ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and transport materials throughout the warehouse Load and unload trucks and trailers in a timely and accurate manner Pick, stage, and organize product according to order requirements Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklift equipment and report any mechanical issues Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times Follow all warehouse safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures Accurately document inventory movements and complete required paperwork or digital logs Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals RequirementsMinimum 6 months of verifiable sit-down forklift experience Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Reliable attendance and punctuality early morning start time required Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods Basic math and reading skills for inventory and documentation purposes Preferred QualificationsExperience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) Experience with pallet jacks, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment What We OfferCompetitive pay at $20.00/hr Consistent 1st shift schedule Weekly pay Safe and team-oriented work environment Potential for long-term or temp-to-hire placement About SurestaffAt Surestaff, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
