What We Are Looking For
GVEC is looking to hire you for the position of Talent Acquisition Specialist to deliver the unexpected with a willingness to continuously develop yourself, your department, and our organization. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will help meet GVEC’s hiring goals by filling open positions with talented and qualified candidates. This involves sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, facilitating offers and other recruiting and HR functions.
How You’ll Help
Source top talent through various channels such as job boards and LinkedIn
Act as primary contact for applicant communication and tracking
Manage requisitions and coordinate timelines for open and closed positions
Coordinate and assist with interviews, phone screens, scheduling and assessment tests
Facilitate new hire process and onboarding coordination
Meet with employees on their first day for paperwork completion, employee handbook and benefit review
Organize and participate in Career Fairs
Manage Glassdoor content
Maintain relationships with local schools, colleges and trade schools
Oversee GVEC’s internship and seasonal employment programs
Engage external recruiters/headhunters as necessary
Build relationships with potential candidates and maintain a network of professionals
Keep up with industry trends and best practices
Work closely with the HR team to brainstorm topics, develop strategies and assist with other activities, projects and administrative functions as needed
Experience/Skills You’ll Need
Basic knowledge of recruiting
Computer proficiency including moderate technical ability
Exudes an engaging and hospitable demeanor
Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and confidently
Effective problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting minor issues independently
Ability to effectively evaluate and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and impeccable integrity
Team player open to constructive criticism to help evolve the team
Ability to improve processes through new ideas, procedures and efficiencies
Local travel during business hours will be required
Preferred Experience/Skills
Previous experience with an HRIS system
Your Pay
The pay range for this role is between $23.00-$30.00/hr. and will be commensurate based on your skills, qualifications and experience. In addition, GVEC ties cash bonuses to a multitude of organizational benchmarks set forth annually.
