UI EngineerFidelity Investments is looking for top UI engineer talent that can, via skilled development, drive high user satisfaction as it relates to the work flow and business process related web tools within our product portfolio. This role will play a key part of developing industry standard and best-practice web applications – utilizing modern and cutting-edge development languages, frameworks and methodologies.The TeamAs part of the Advanced Process Solutions division within Fidelity Investments, you will join a Scrum team of 6-8 highly talented individuals tasked with re-imagining the next generation of Fidelity's work flow suite of tools – this team will be highly focused on the UI side of this effort; challenged to create a cutting-edge front-end experience that creates symmetry across a suite of related products.The Expertise You HaveBachelor's Degree in Computer Science / similar technical discipline and or equivalent experience2-5+ years web development using HTML / CSS / JavaScript2-3+ years advanced JavaScript development skills requiredSkills in Angular 9+, Bootstrap, Sass, Git, NodeJS, Typescript, RxJS or other advanced JavaScript skillsFamiliarity with AWS and other cloud-based development methodologies / best-practicesExperience with Restful APIs is a plusNice to have: GraphQL, NgRx, Jest, Cypress, ag-grid, Highcharts, Express, Camunda/BPMN.io, Form.io, KubernetesServer-side experience also a plus – Java /.NET / Node.js / Golang, etc.The Skills You BringExperience with Git, NPM, Webpack, Gulp, JenkinsExcellent communication skills requiredStrong problem resolution skills requiredAbility to work in a team-oriented environment requiredThe Value You DeliverAccountable for consistent delivery of functional software – sprint to sprint, release to releaseHigh level execution of web development best-practices per Fidelity processes and standardsDevise or modify procedures to solve complex business problemsExcellence in software development practices and proceduresParticipates in application level architectureDevelops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development effortsResponsible for QA readiness of software deliverables (end-to-end tests, unit tests, automation)Responsible for supporting implementation of moderate-scope projects or major initiativesWorks on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a projectAssists in developing departmental technical policies and proceduresMay assist in establishing project plans for projects of moderate scopeRequired Skills: Front end development, Typescript, Angular, Javascript Basic Qualification: Additional Skills: Exposure to the newest Angular (team is constantly working on the newest version), team that believe in peer accountability, and mentorship from Sr Front End developers.
