VP, Medical Science, Respiratory
Clario, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, is seeking an experienced medical and scientific leader to drive the strategic and long‑term medical and scientific capabilities of the respiratory business. This role is responsible for determining, articulating, and executing vision, mission, strategies, and tactics across the business unit and global operations to enhance the relevant scientific expertise both internally and externally.

ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain scientific expertise in client interactions, including proposal writing, sales process, customer visits for protocol design and review of study results, FDA panel meetings, expert advisory meetings, etc.
Manage relationships with key opinion leaders in scientific communities
Assist in scientific training of study personnel
Maximize scientific excellence and scientific value of studies to ensure quality and integrity of all project deliverables
Promote bookings growth by ensuring appropriate scientific coverage for protocol/RFP reviews, capabilities meetings, bid defenses, and face‑to‑face meetings with clients
Guide and help prioritize the product roadmap to deliver more value for sponsors, patients and studies
Support identification of new product enhancements and opportunities leveraging existing or novel capabilities
Define, develop and execute a medical and science affairs network of professionals for scale and differentiated clinical support
Continuously pursue demand‑generation initiatives focused on existing or novel capabilities
Support the expansion of relevant BU services through science and scientific offerings
Maintain frequent liaisons with sponsors, CROs, and investigator sites’ staff
Help others to achieve results
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending company‑sponsored training, educational workshops, benchmarking state‑of‑the‑art best practices, and performing other duties as assigned
QualificationsMedical degree required
Pharmaceutical and/or medical industry experience
Effective verbal and written communication with all internal and external customers
Professional and appropriate interaction with all customers
Relevant scientific research experience within area of expertise
Established record within area of expertise
Clinical trial management and operational experience
Strong organization and time‑management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Positive, results‑oriented track record
Self‑motivated, flexible, and adaptable to business needs
Practical and technical knowledge of the therapeutic area
Ability to lead a team and direct sponsors
Excellent attention to detail and meticulous work orientation
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Professional and positive attitude at all times
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
