Job Description Position: Radiology Diagnostic TechnologistLocation: Richmond, VAShifts Available: VariableStatus: Full Time / PermanentSIGN ON BONUS**We are seeking an experienced radiologic technologist to perform imaging in a fast paced hospital setting. Under the direction of healthcare provider, the Radiology Tech performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for Radiologic diagnosis, with latitude for independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative.Responsibilities:Radiology Technologist that will be responsible for coordinating and performing of radiologic scans for diagnostic purposes and for providing patient services using applicable imaging modalitiesExplain procedures to patients in layperson's terms and confirm patient understanding.Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of the appointmentPrepare, position, and immobilize patients before conducting scans.Perform radiologic tests to obtain clear and correct body scans.Perform highly complex examinations and general diagnostic procedures.Monitor patients throughout procedures.Follow all radiological safety procedures and guidelines.Job Benefits:Competitive salaryCareer Advancement OpportunitiesComprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision benefitsExcellent room for career growth and advancementRequirements:Must have and maintain current licensure as a Diagnostic Radiological Technologist in the state of practiceMust have ARRT Certification in Radiography or obtain within 6 months of hire dateOne (1) year experience as a Radiological TechnologistEducation, Certification & ExperienceCertification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT), BLSIV Certification (preferred)
