Marine Construction Safety Manager needed - Houston, TX
We are currently seeking a Safety Manager to support our client's Offshore Energy Division until the end of the year. The position will be based in Houston but requires periodic travel to project locations along the East Coast. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting offshore operations, strengthening safety performance, and ensuring compliance with applicable maritime and offshore energy standards. Client will only entertain applicants local to the Houston area as per diem will only be available for the travel assignments. Preferred Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree insafety, Occupational Health, or a related fieldBCSP certification required (minimum CHST)Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with marine vessels and offshore operationsBOSIET certificationValid TWIC cardWorking knowledge of the International Safety Management (ISM) CodeSTCW certification preferredFamiliarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and associated safety considerationsExperience facilitating and developing HAZID and HAZOP studiesExperience developing and implementing Emergency Response Plans (ERP) Code Red Safety specializes in placing qualified Safety Professionals into large industrial and commercial construction projects nationwide on a 1099 independent contract basis.
