Logistics Manager The Logistics Manager develops and executes the appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost by planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the logistics processes to ensure efficient and accurate handling of shipments and inventory. This role involves overseeing a team of logistics personnel, proactively identifying and implementing best practices, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.What You Will Do:Manage the flow of goods and materials by coordinating with customers, 3pls, carriers, warehouses, and other stakeholders to streamline the supply chain process to meet KPIs. Formulate and execute transportation strategies that ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and materials. Lead, manage, and develop a team of transportation professionals through hiring, training, and performance management. Supervise the scheduling and routing of shipments to guarantee timely delivery while minimizing transportation costs. Address any transportation-related issues, such as delays, accidents, or customer complaints, by implementing appropriate solutions to minimize disruptions. Coordinate and collaborate with multiple parties including customer stakeholders, warehouses, carriers, service providers onsite team members to resolve any issues that may arise. Serve as the main point of contact for internal departments, external vendors, and customers regarding logistics-related inquiries. Oversee transportation budgets and expenses, including negotiating contracts with carriers and vendors to secure competitive rates. Oversee inventory forecasts and adjust inventory levels across a national network of warehouses to maintain balanced and efficient supply chain operations. Support the preparation of invoices and assist with various accounting activities to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions and reportingWhat You Need to Succeed:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in overseeing supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and develop a team. Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software applications. Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with extraordinary relationship management. Demonstrated negotiation and organizational skills. Supply Chain certifications are a plus.
