Talent Acquisition RecruiterThe Talent Acquisition Recruiter supports staff and faculty hiring across assigned departments or campus locations at Texas State Technical College (TSTC). This role manages most of the recruiting cycle independentlyfrom posting jobs and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and delivering offers. The recruiter works closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to meet staffing needs, maintain accurate candidate records in Workday, and ensure a positive experience for all applicants. This role also participates in job fairs and supports broader outreach and recruiting efforts across the state.

Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage assigned job requisitions through the full recruiting processposting, screening, scheduling, interviewing, and offering. Serve as the main point of contact for hiring managers during the recruiting process. Support hiring managers by reviewing job descriptions, suggesting edits, and posting jobs to sourcing platforms. Conduct resume reviews and phone screens to evaluate qualifications and interest.
Systems and Reporting: Use Workday to track candidate progress, maintain requisition data, and generate basic reports.
Sourcing and Outreach: Use tools like LinkedIn, Indeed, and local networks to proactively source qualified applicants. Represent TSTC professionally at job fairs, networking events, and workforce board meetings.
Campus and HR Collaboration: Collaborate with HR Business Partners to meet recruitment needs by department or campus. Assist with internal transfer coordination and onboarding communications.
Compliance and Process Support: Ensure recruiting activities follow TSTC guidelines and support inclusive hiring practices. Provide general support to the Talent Acquisition team and contribute to team-based projects.
Minimum Qualifications: 46 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or a related field. Ability to manage full-cycle recruiting tasks with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience using applicant tracking systems; familiarity with Workday is preferred. Comfortable juggling multiple open roles and shifting priorities. Willingness to travel for events or on-campus meetings.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting hiring in a multi-campus, public sector, or education environment. Working knowledge of EEO and fair hiring practices. Experience in skilled trades recruitment (E.G. Welders, Plumbers, HVAC, Electricians). Candidate sourcing / headhunting in LinkedIn and Indeed etc.
